Absorption spectroscopy

The Varian CARY 50 Bio UV/Vis spectrophotometer (Projeto Temático FAPESP 01/11721-3) uses a Xe lamp to perform absorption measurements up to 2.5 absorption units in the range of 200 - 800nm. Optical paths are 4 and 10mm and a Peltier is employed to control the temperature in 0 - 90°C range.
